A polar bear that was hungry walked hundreds of kilometers to reach Norilsk, a large city in northern Siberia, looking for food. The images show how the bear, visibly weak and tired, remains lying down and occasionally gets up to sniff food.

According to environmental specialists in the area, it is the first polar bear they have seen in the area in 40 years. “It is still moving around a factory, observed all the time by the police and emergency services, which are guaranteeing their safety and that of those who pass through the area”. The environmental services official, Alexander, told AFP. Korobkin.

The first time the bear could be seen roaming the area was Sunday night. It is planned that today a team of specialists will arrive in Norilsk who will inspect the animal and decide what to do with it.

Oleg Krashevsky, a local wildlife expert who recorded the bear closely, explained that it was not clear what it was that had brought the animal to the city, although he did not rule out the possibility that it had been lost, as he said he had the Crying eyes and I thought I did not see well.

The bear has been quite an attraction for the city, as its residents have not hesitated to go out to the street, get close to the area where it meets the animal, and take photos and videos.
