Suspicious package in the White House puts the authorities on alert
1 min readThis Thursday afternoon the doors of the White House were closed, after a suspicious package was found on Pennsylvania Avenue.
“At approximately 2:45 p.m. (local time), one person dropped a backpack and tried to jump a bicycle rack that was along the sidewalk on Pennsylvania Avenue,” the US Secret Service reported through of your Twitter account.
At approximately 2:45 pm an individual dropped a backpack and attempted to jump a bike rack along the sidewalk on Pennsylvania Ave. The individual was immediately taken into custody by Secret Service Uniformed Division Officers.

According to Reuters correspondent Jeff Mason, there was a suspicious package on Pennsylvania Avenue, which connects the White House and the United States Capitol.
This measure was taken to protect the journalists who were in the place, who did not hesitate to take refuge inside the White House.

The information was confirmed by the Secret Service account, which indicated that the suspect was arrested by the officers.
