The emblematic Cuban orchestra Los Van Van announces presentations in major US cities. That will happen later this month, as part of a tour that began last May.
The Van Van will start on June 23 in the city of San Francisco. Then offer a concert on the 26th in cosmopolitan New York. They leave for Washington DC on the 27th, where they will perform at the Howard Theater.

The orchestra founded by the late Cuban musician Juan Formell, with strong ties to Castroism, was presented in Miami last month, in Estudio 60. Incredibly, with his concert they closed the place for the capacity.
The Van Van tour through US territory has coincided with a bill presented by the mayor of the city of Miami, of Cuban origin, Francis Suarez. That project asks the United States Congress to eliminate cultural exchange with musicians from the communist island.
